Janos Balega

Mr Janos Balega is a highly experienced consultant gynaecological oncologist providing private care at HCA The Harborne Hospital, The Priory Hospital, and Spire Little Aston. He specialises in diagnosing and managing ovarian cysts, period problems, postmenopausal bleeding, HPV infections, and abnormal smears, offering personalised and compassionate care tailored to individual needs.

An accredited colposcopist, Mr Balega also provides genetic risk counselling for gynaecological cancers. His surgical expertise includes minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopic hysterectomies for benign and cancerous conditions and laparoscopic radical hysterectomies for cervical cancer. He is particularly skilled in fertility-sparing surgeries like laparoscopic radical trachelectomy and performs advanced ovarian cancer surgeries, including cyst removal and ultra-radical debulking.

Trained in Hungary, the UK, and the USA, including a prestigious fellowship in Indianapolis, Mr Balega brings a wealth of international expertise to his practice. As the risk lead for the Pan-Birmingham Gynaecological Cancer Centre, he is committed to delivering the highest standards of care to his patients.
