Mr Richardson qualified in 2005 from the University of Birmingham Medical School with honours in surgery, and was appointed as a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham in 2017. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, a member of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland and a member of the British Hernia Society.
Mr Richardson has extensive experience in the management of simple and complex hernias, including surgery for inguinal hernia, femoral hernia, abdominal wall hernia, and incisional hernia. He is a fully trained laparoscopic surgeon and offers laparoscopic (minimally invasive) hernia repair where appropriate.
