Comprehensive care for liver, pancreas & bile systems

Your hepato-pancreato-biliary (HBP) system includes the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, and pancreas which are all vital to digestion and metabolism. Conditions within this system can affect energy, digestion and general health. Whether it’s fatty liver, gallstones, bile duct blockages, or pancreatic issues, our specialists provide fast access to diagnosis and tailored care designed around you.

Common liver & biliary conditions we address

From subtle symptoms to serious disease, early detection is key. Our experts diagnose and treat a broad range of HBP conditions – from mild liver changes to complex pancreatic and bile duct disorders.

Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD)

A build-up of fat in the liver – usually related to weight and metabolic health. This is becoming increasingly common and, in some cases, can lead to inflammation and scarring of the liver over time.

Alcoholic Liver Disease (ALD)

Damage to the liver caused by long-term alcohol consumption. It can range from mild changes to serious inflammation or scarring – which can progress to cirrhosis.

Gallstones & cholecystitis

Gallstones are small stones that form in the gallbladder. They can block bile flow, causing pain or inflammation (cholecystitis). Attacks often cause sharp pain in the upper right abdomen, especially after eating fatty foods.

Bile duct stones or obstruction

Bile duct stones or blockages can prevent bile from draining properly from the liver. This can lead to pain, jaundice (yellowing of the skin) and infection, if left untreated.

Pancreatitis

This is inflammation of the pancreas, most often caused by gallstones or alcohol use. It can cause severe upper abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting and may require hospital treatment if acute.

Liver tumours & metastasis

Liver tumours can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Metastatic liver disease occurs when cancers from other parts of the body spread to the liver. Early diagnosis is key to managing and treating these effectively.

Our treatment approach

A treatment plan is never one-size-fits-all. From dietary and lifestyle support to minimally invasive procedures or advanced surgical options, treatment is tailored to your condition - always prioritising your quality of life.

Gallbladder removal (cholecystectomy)

This is a routine operation to remove the gallbladder when gallstones or inflammation cause pain or infection.

Pancreatic or biliary surgery & interventions

Specialised procedures to treat conditions affecting the pancreas or bile ducts, including blockages, tumours, or inflammation – often using minimally invasive techniques.

Medical & lifestyle management

For many liver and digestive conditions, medication, changes in diet, or daily habits can make a big difference.
