No, in fact Get Well Soon has been designed for patients who are paying for themselves. It is increasingly common now for patients to pay for themselves, particularly for the sort of procedures we do at Get Well Soon.
Get Well Soon specialises in elective surgery - this is low-risk surgery that is often done as a day-case procedure. Because these conditions are not life-threatening, the NHS often has long waiting lists for them which can be frustrating for patients who are waiting to be treated.
You can come in for an initial consultation without a referral from your GP. If you have already seen an NHS consultant, or had some diagnostic imaging done, then our consultants can use that information to better understand your condition.
No, all the doctors we work with are Consultants. In order to practise in the private sector in the UK you must be qualified as a consultant as well as have held a substantive post in the NHS. Consultant surgeons often have more than 25 years experience of surgery.
Get Well Soon will guarantee the price that we quote for your procedure providing it is booked through us within 30 days of the quote. If any additional procedure costs are levied by the hospital, we will pay them on your behalf (terms and conditions apply).
Get Well Soon does not offer finance. The few specialist companies that provide finance for medical procedures typically offer high rates of interest that we do not think represent good value. You will usually get better rates from your own bank or through a credit card.
