Mrs Supriya Bulchandani is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist providing private care at Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital (Leamington Spa) and The Meriden Hospital (Coventry). She specialises in urogynaecology and offers expert assessment and treatment for pelvic floor disorders, bladder symptoms and a wide range of women’s health concerns. She is the only RCOG-accredited urogynaecology subspecialist in the Coventry and Warwickshire region.
She assesses and manages conditions that affect pelvic health, comfort and confidence. These include urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, bladder dysfunction and symptoms such as urgency and frequent urination. She also supports women with general gynaecological concerns and helps those whose symptoms are affecting daily life and wellbeing.
Her clinical practice includes detailed assessment of pelvic floor and bladder problems, alongside laparoscopic keyhole surgery for gynaecological conditions where appropriate. She provides specialist urogynaecology procedures designed to improve bladder and pelvic floor function. She works closely with physiotherapists, continence nurses and midwives to provide coordinated care. Care is planned with radiology, anaesthesia and specialist nurses so that investigations and treatment are joined up and evidence based.
Mrs Bulchandani qualified in medicine from Nagpur University in 1995 and completed her basic and specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in India. She later moved to the UK to continue her training, completing higher specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology as well as subspecialist training in urogynaecology at Birmingham Women’s Hospital. Following completion of her training, she joined the specialist register and was appointed as a consultant in obstetrics, gynaecology and urogynaecology. She also works within the NHS at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (Coventry).
Alongside her clinical work, Mrs Bulchandani is involved in research and medical education. She has authored peer reviewed publications in leading gynaecology journals and regularly supports the training and mentorship of junior doctors. She is a member of the British Society of Urogynaecology and contributes to its patient information committee, helping improve access to clear and reliable information for patients and families.
Mrs Bulchandani takes a holistic and patient-centred approach to care, making sure each patient feels listened to, informed and supported throughout treatment. She takes time to understand individual concerns and tailor treatment accordingly. Her aim is to provide reassuring, compassionate care that helps women feel confident and more in control of their health.

An ultrasound carried out on the same day put my mind further at rest, and bloods taken during the appointment confirmed where I was on my menopausal journey. Mrs Bulchandani was quick to diagnose an ovarian cyst and recommend a bilateral salpingo oophorectomy. She clearly explained the type of cyst and why surgery was necessary. Key hole procedure very neatly done to enable a good recovery. I was advised within a week of surgery that biopsies were thankfully all clear.

Operation for laparoscopy was a success and my recovery was great. Supriya was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable with the procedure. However on day of my 6 week check up, which by the way was 45 minutes drive, I attended my appointment to be told the exact same information I received via letter, which could of all been done over the phone in my opinion. My wounds were not checked but just asked if all okay? So the check up appointment was really unnecessary.

Mrs Bulchandani has literally changed my everyday life. I suffered for years with cystitis and GPs never did anything more than give me antibiotics over and over again. Having had a procedure done and things being explained we left the room, unfortunately by the time we were leaving the building my mum had problems. My mum then had to return to see the consultant an again another procedure was carried out. Again things were said and done in a calm manner which was much appreciated.
