  Fantastic ultra efficient experience from the moment I arrived at reception to a seem less discharge process.   Mr Radley is a first class colorectal surgeon. He was wonderful and so kind and respectful dealing with my 89 year old mother. She underwent a procedure that was tricky due to her blood thinning medication. I can report that the procedure went well and that she is no longer in pain. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Radley. I would also like to say many thanks to his medical secretary Keeley for keeping us updated and answering our questions swiftly.

  I recently had hernia surgery, which I was extremely nervous about. From start to finish Simon and everyone at Harborne hospital made the experience a little less daunting. And, 6 weeks post op, i'm pretty much back to normal. Highly reccommended. Very pleased with the outcome.

  It was quick and simple to arrange an appointment. Once at the Harborne Hospital i found the staff to be polite and courteous, and I was seen promptly. Mr Radley took the time to understand why I was there and the past history behind the visit, and clearly explained what options were available to resolve my problem. He came across as extremely professional, knowledgable and competent surgeon. We agreed an additional scan would be sensible prior to proceeding with the operation, this was done immediately and the results analysed promptly so a date for the operation agreed. On the day of the surgery Mr Radley visited me before the operation to make sure I had no concerns and then again afterwards before discharge. It was reassuring and eased any apprehension pre-op. Overall I was very pleased with the experience at Harborne Hospital and with Mr Radley in particular. I would not hesitate to recommend both.

  I had an open unilateral inguinal hernia repair performed by Mr Simon Radley in a private clinic. From the very first consultation I felt reassured – he explained the whole procedure clearly and in detail, so I knew exactly what to expect. The operation went smoothly and the recovery was remarkably quick. The scar is minimal and almost invisible. After six weeks I was able to return fully to my active lifestyle – including gym training and running – which was very important to me. I am extremely satisfied and can wholeheartedly recommend Mr Radley, both for his surgical skills and his professional, caring approach to patients.

  I can not fault the professional approach of Mr Radley. However hos secretary should have informed him reference the guarantee of payment from my insurer and that he could not just send me for further tests and blood work without approval.

  Mr Radley changed my life 15 years ago with complex and life changing repair surgery. I recently wanted to check that everything was still healthy with no IBD or other issues to be concerned about. Because of my previous surgery there was no one else I trusted with confidence to do this for me.   I cannot rate Mr Simon Radley high enough . I thank my lucky stars I came across him at my lowest ebb , after a long time of debilitating , chronic pain . He listened , was honest with a possible way forward, and then efficiently performed my surgery . Whilst is early days , I am now pain free and very optimistic , I can now live life again to the full . Whilst being very professional , Mr Radley is also caring and supportive throughout . Having popping in to see me daily when in hospital after the op , and at post op appt , asking me to keep him informed of how I am getting on .

  Over the past few years, I’ve been a patient of Mr. Radley and have had multiple EUA’s and surgeries under him. After a very turbulent few years of my health, Simon was able to help and solve many complex issues for me with high levels of success. As a male in my late twenties, with history of complex comorbidities Simon was understanding, gentle and diligent; from the first appointment to the last he was always ensuring I felt comfortable and safeguarded- happily explaining in detail what my body was doing and how he intended to fix it. I’m incredibly lucky to have been able to see Simon with his expertise across my manual and robotic surgeries. For many of us bowel complications can be a sense of intense stress and emotional shame, I’m proud to say that with Simon’s support I’ve healed well and wholeheartedly recommend his incredible skills and services. I would also like to use this time to pass on thanks and my recommendation to Simon’s secretary, Keely. She is effective, well organised and sincerely appreciated for her help in ensuring timely appointments & surgeries over the past few years - in addition she always managed to be a friendly voice on the phone.   I recently attended a consultation with Dr Radley for a private Inguinal Hernia op at the Priory Hospital. During our conversation, I was most impressed with his calm manner, exuding a quiet confidence and experience in his ability to perform the op in the best way possible. On the day of the op everything went smoothly and I was back home by mid afternoon with some meds to begin my recovery which has gone exactly as he predicted it would. If anyone is looking for the best, then Dr Radley is your man.
