  I noticed one morning an egg shaped lump in my groin area after a hard indoor climbing session and knew immediately I'd torn something and suspected a hernia. A quick Google search of local Hernia surgeons came up with one name in particular, Mr Michael Stellakis, I paid privately for a consultation and the resulting examination involving extremely thorough online tutorials of what is and what contributes to a Hernia left me with no doubt I'd made the correct decision in seeking Mr Stellakis's opinion and my options going forward. Several weeks later I underwent a Bilateral laproscoic Hernia repair. From the initial consultation through to the surgery and the aftercare, every step was dealt with, with complete and utter professionalism that I'd heard about from the Warwickshire Bowel and Hernia Centre. I walked out of the Hospital later the same day as the surgery, 3-4 weeks later I'm back climbing as good as, if not stronger than before the Injury, Simply incredible experience from start to finish.   The whole process with my hernia repair was extremely positive, from the pre-op consultation, throughout the surgery, and the post-op follow-up. All the hospital and medical team were very helpful and kept me informed about every step of the process. I was extremely well looked after and am very happy with the resulting repair.

  Mr.Stellakis had a friendly and relaxed manner which immediately put me at ease. His explanation of my condition and treatment options was very thorough and helpful and the follow-up via his secretary was impressive…first contact within a few hours of the appointment. Overall my experience was excellent.

  Mr Stellakis is an excellent consultant, he explained fully the process of my keyhole hernia operation. I followed his advice on my recovery period, resting until I felt comfortable enough to do some light exercise. I suffered very little discomfort after the operation and no bruising.

  Mr Stellakis is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, genuine, empathetic and supporting. He takes his time to build a good rapport with you in a friendly and supportive manner. He is very positive and patient, taking time to answer all your questions. His expertise is second to non and I would recommend anyone to him who are looking for a surgeon in his specialised fields. I cannot thank him enough for putting me back onto the road to recovery and being able to move towards regaining my fitness so that I can participate in the sports that I love.

  I met Michael Stellakis last year when he removed my gallbladder. From start to finish he and his staff were wonderful professional caring people. I unfortunately had an unexpected incident over Christmas as a stone had fallen out and decided to rear its ugly head just as I was due to fly to care for my son in Singapore. The service and speed that Michael and his staff provide to me was exemplary in ensuring, I was treated and scanned and fit to fly, Michael was actually on leave but spoke to me personally and dealt with everything, marvellous talented individual, thank you, you ensured my trip and I cannot recommend you and your team enough.   Mr Stellakis was a pleasure to deal with. He was friendly, engaging and seemed genuinely interested in me as a person. The surgery (bilateral inguinal hernia repair ) went well and the recovery was exactly as he had predicted. Now fully pain free and fully functional. Excellent overall service.

  Having had bowel cancer previously, I was rather anxious when seeing Mr Stellakis for the first time to discuss my symptoms. However, he was very understanding, took time to listen and understand my concerns and checked matters thoroughly. Whilst I cannot say I actively enjoyed the colonoscopy (who does‽), I can certainly confirm that I felt completely comfortable and at ease throughout. And then, in the follow-up appt, he again took the time to explain and discuss my options. Would thoroughly recommend.

  The recovery from the operation was speedy and pain free. There were few side effects and I can say I was moving around normally within a few days. I can certainly recommend Mr Stellakis

  I suffer with health anxiety and Mr Michael Stellakis was superb all the way through the process. Incredibly reassuring and professional. His synopsis on what was causing the issues was always correct before and after the colonoscopy. I have heard some horror stories about the colonoscopy procedure from friends and family but it was seamless and painless. I could not recommend Mr Stellakis enough.

  Dr Stellakis is an incredible surgeon and I would highly recommend him. Dr Stellakis from my first consultation with him was very kind and gave me a lot of his time to explain what what was wrong with me and how the surgery would be preformed. Dr Stellakis made me feel very comfortable and safe about having surgery. Dr Stellakis removed my gallbladder and post surgery I didn’t have much pain or bruising which just show what a great surgeon he is. The nursing staff were also so lovely and kind!   Mr Stellakis is an exception medical practitioner, who offers a very person centred level of care. Medical explanations were delivered using different media to give the best ‘picture’ of what was going on and what was proposed as the ‘fix’. Dare I say, it was an enjoyable experience from the Dr/patient perspective. Anyone under Mr Stallakis’ care is in very good hands.

  Mr Stellakis is a wonderful man & brilliant consultant. Very experienced & knowledgeable. I found he put me at ease & explained everything very well. Apparently I have a long & twisty bowel but Mr Stellakis completed a colonoscopy with great care ensuring I was comfortable throughout the procedure. As a manager of a private medical clinic, I have many years of experience working with doctors & I can honestly say Mr Stellakis is one of the best consultants in his field.

  My gall bladder was a mess - and full of stones, and, as many things do in the abdomen, had already caused me excrutiating pain. So I was desperate to get the very best surgeon to deal with it. Thankfully my cardiologist knows all the specialists in this area so when she told me to see Michael Stellakis about my gall bladder, I knew it was sound advise. He was superb at every stage. He was thorough in his analysis - so much so that I immediately had confidence in his ability. He was very patient in communicating with me (I had a lot of questions), and was very skilful in the operation itself (it wasn't straightforward). The “proof of the pudding” is that I have quickly recovered and now feel better than I have done for years.
