Miss Javeria Iqbal is a Consultant Breast Surgeon with The Birmingham Breast Clinic, specialising in the treatment of breast cancer and other breast conditions. She has performed over 1,400 breast operations in the past six years and is highly regarded for her skill in both cancer and reconstructive surgery. Her focus is always on providing safe, effective, and individualised care.
Miss Iqbal completed her medical degree (MBBS) at Khyber Medical University in Pakistan and went on to gain a Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (FCPS) and a Fellowship of the European Board of Surgery in Breast Surgery (FEBS). She also holds a Master’s in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery from the University of East Anglia, UK, giving her specialist expertise in combining cancer treatment with natural-looking reconstruction.
Her clinical work includes wide local excision, sentinel lymph-node biopsy, and mastectomy (including skin- and nipple-sparing techniques), as well as axillary clearance. For reconstruction, she offers therapeutic mammoplasty, implant-based reconstruction, and chest-wall perforator flaps. She also performs nipple reconstruction, breast reduction, and augmentation, helping women recover both physically and emotionally after treatment.
Alongside her surgical work, Miss Iqbal takes part in breast-cancer research and has contributed to national studies such as the ATNEC and POSNOC trials, which aim to improve patient outcomes. She regularly presents her findings at UK and international conferences and has published several research papers.

Miss Iqbal is a fantastic lady who over the past 2 years has been totally amazing. She has put me at ease, comforting me when I was going back and forth to the hospital after my 1st operation in October 2023 as my wound would not heal. I felt I was being a nuisance going in so many times. She told me that I wasn't and that I could go in whenever I needed to or was worried about my recovery. She explained everything fully on each operation I have had. Miss iqbal is a very caring surgeon, I've had 2 major operations and one for a wound washout out. I was in very good hands each time. She takes the time to speak to you and you can see that she genuinely cares about you.
