Profile
Mr Guy Morris is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in the treatment of bone and soft tissue cancers (sarcomas), metastatic bone cancer, and in performing both primary and revision hip and knee replacements for arthritis. He previously served as Clinical Director for the Oncology Unit at the world-renowned Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham – the largest bone sarcoma centre in Europe.
Mr Morris completed an undergraduate degree in Sports Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention before studying Medicine at the University of Leicester, graduating in 2007. He completed his higher surgical training on the Birmingham Orthopaedic Training Programme and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Trauma and Orthopaedics (FRCS T&O) in 2017.
He went on to complete a fellowship in oncology and arthroplasty at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, Australia’s largest sarcoma centre, gaining further experience in complex bone cancer surgery and joint replacement.
Mr Morris has a strong academic background and has published numerous papers in international journals in the fields of orthopaedic oncology and arthroplasty. He is an honorary clinical lecturer at the University of Birmingham and regularly reviews scientific papers and textbooks. In 2022, he convened the first UK Sarcoma Allograft Conference, bringing together experts from across the country.
An international lecturer, Mr Morris teaches on the management of bone cancer and complex joint replacement. His research interests include navigated tumour resection, 3D-printed surgical jigs, and chondrosarcoma treatment. He continues to contribute to ongoing research projects and remains committed to improving patient outcomes through surgical innovation.
Mr Morris is known for his calm, supportive approach and dedication to achieving the best results for his patients – combining clinical excellence with empathy, education, and research-driven practice.
