Mr Francois Runau is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon providing private care at Spire Leicester Hospital (Leicester). He specialises in laparoscopic colorectal and general surgery, offering assessment and treatment for bowel symptoms, colorectal disease and hernias. He also cares for benign anorectal problems that need clear diagnosis and treatment.

He looks after people with bowel cancer, early rectal cancers, inflammatory and diverticular bowel disease, and benign anorectal problems such as haemorrhoids, fissures, fistula in ano and pilonidal disease. He holds an NHS consultant post at Leicester General Hospital and completed a PhD in cancer treatment at the University of Leicester in 2019.
