Profile
Mr Binod Singh is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon providing private care at The Priory Hospital (Birmingham). He specialises in knee surgery, offering expert assessment and treatment for sports injuries, cartilage damage, arthritis and complex knee conditions. His practice is focused solely on knee problems, and he is known for delivering precise, specialist care for patients with both simple and advanced knee disorders.
He manages ligament injuries, meniscal tears, cartilage defects, degenerative joint disease and complex or revision knee problems. He also looks after people with knee pain linked to activity, instability, swelling and long-standing mechanical symptoms. His advice and treatment plans are tailored to each person’s lifestyle, activity level and goals, ensuring care feels individual and supportive.
Mr Singh’s clinical practice includes knee arthroscopy, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, meniscal surgery, cartilage repair, multi-ligament reconstruction and both primary and revision total knee replacement. He offers minimally invasive techniques wherever suitable to support faster recovery and improved comfort. He works closely with physiotherapists and specialist multidisciplinary teams so that investigations and treatment are coordinated, evidence based and focused on the best possible outcome.
After completing his higher surgical training in orthopaedics, Mr Singh went on to develop advanced expertise in knee surgery and now practises exclusively in this field. He holds an NHS consultant post at Sandwell General Hospital, where he provides high-volume specialist knee care and performs a wide range of complex procedures. Across his career he has carried out more than 13,000 knee replacements and 15,000 knee arthroscopies, reflecting his extensive experience in modern knee surgery.
He is active in training, supervision and service development. His experience in high-volume knee surgery has informed teaching contributions, clinical leadership roles and presentations within the orthopaedic community. He continues to support improvements in knee surgery techniques and outcomes.
Mr Singh’s approach is calm, clear and patient centred. He explains investigations and treatment options in straightforward language and takes time to understand each person’s concerns. By combining advanced surgical skills with a thoughtful, collaborative style, he aims to support a smooth recovery and help patients return to everyday life with confidence.
