  Mr Chakravarti removed my prostate a year ago. The care I received at the Spire was excellent. As for the operation I can’t praise Mr Chakravarti enough. I have had no issues following the operation and I would say the operation has been life changing, I am now able to lead my life normally.

  Mr Chakravarti fitted me in at short notice following a few appointments with other consultants. I managed to have my operation within 4 weeks and since my non functioning kidney was removed I have felt great. Mr Chakravarti was brilliant and even popped in to see me at the hospital on a Saturday when I was leaving. Really impressed with him and harbourne hospital. Honestly can’t thank them enough for resolving my issue which no one else had picked up.

  I have not had an appointment because Mr Chakravarti or his secretary didn’t contact me after I requested an appointment. Appalling service all around and I wish that Vitality knew what was going on with their members. I find the service levels so below standard. I have been so disappointed. This insurance has offered me next to nothing since I signed up.

  I can highly recommend Mr. Chakravarti. He uses the latest Holep technology to carry out prostrate surgery which is a much better experience for the patient, and a quicker recovery. I compare myself to a friend of mine who had prostrate surgery on the NHS using a differnt procedure and he came away with issues and had very little aftercare. Mr Chakravarti has a very caring and professional approach, and i was confident in his dealings with me as he is very expereinced and very knowledgable.

  Thank you Mr Chakravarti for your reassuring manner when I first went to see you regarding my enlarged prostate. At that time I had a catheter fitted and I had fears that because of the length of time that the catheter had been in, might cause me problems once my op was completed. You talked me through what I could, possibly, have to deal with postop, but instilled a confidence in me with the way you envisaged of how you thought things would go. You were correct!! Holep procedure went according to plan and I left the hospital 2 days later without the catheter. Thank you so much.

  Absolutely fantastic. I was advised I would have to wait for my operation on NHS for at least 3 years +. Mr Chakravarti came recommended by another surgeon. From the time we met until the day I was signed off he was a perfect gentleman. Explained everything to me including the pros and cons of my operation. His bedside manor is wonderful and he is very thorough. I have now had the operation and recovered well and back to my normal self. I Would highly recommend the Spires Hospital and also Mr Chakravarti. Thank you for giving me my life back.

  My first contact with Mr Chakravarti was via an online consultation. I had already carried out some research on the various options to address my BPH condition and was seeking confirmation that HOLEP was the best way forward. His calm manner coupled with his knowledge, experience and expertise gave me the confidence I needed to proceed and that he was the right person to help me. In terms of the operation itself everything went smoothly both pre and post operation outcomes were inline with what had been explained to me. 3 months after the operation I attended a face to face consultation with Mr Chakravarti and was able to thank him for his help - I remember saying "I’m glad I found you! "

  Having been diagnosed with an enlarged prostate Heartlands hospital recommended I made an appointment to discuss the possibility of having a Holmium laser procedure with Mr Chakravarti (Consultant Urological Surgeon at Spire Little Aston) I arranged to see him in November and during the consultation he explained the procedure and I was more than happy for him to carry out the operation asap. He reassured me there was no reason for the outcome not to be successful but made me fully aware of any possible side effects. The operation went ahead in February and 5 weeks later at the post-op meeting Mr Chakravarti confirmed the results. The operation had gone well and all the results were favourable. I would like to thank Mr Chakravarti for his expertise in this specialised field and definitely recommend him to anyone with similar prostate problems.

  My prostate was large and I had been wearing a catheter for over a year but now I am completely back to normal. The HoLEP operation was carried out by Mr Chakravarti, this procedure does not involve many post operative symptoms (incontinance) (sexual function not affected) I have made an excellent recovery and I feel marvellous thanks to Mr Chakravarti. Mr Chakravarti is very highly experienced consultant urological surgeon.

  The outcome of my surgery is far in excess of what I was hoping. I had a serious problem - my prostate was enormous, and embolisation had failed. I'd been wearing a catheter for over a year. Now is I am completely back to normal, feeling 30 years younger. I cannot be more grateful.
