Profile

Dr Aneta Obloza is a Consultant Urogynaecologist providing private care at Spire Leicester Hospital (Leicester). She specialises in pelvic floor and bladder conditions and offers assessment and treatment for pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, bladder pain and mesh related problems. Her care is focused on clear explanations, practical treatment options and helping women regain confidence in daily life.

She manages urogynaecology conditions including voiding difficulties, recurrent urinary tract infections and complications after previous pelvic surgery. She also sees women with heaviness, a dragging sensation, difficulty emptying the bladder and pain in the pelvic area. Her approach begins with understanding each person’s symptoms and how they affect activities, then choosing suitable treatments together.

Her clinical practice includes vaginal hysterectomy, anterior and posterior vaginal wall repair, sacrospinous fixation and fascial sling procedures. She also offers minimally invasive treatments such as Botox injections for overactive bladder, sacral nerve modulation and mid urethral slings for stress urinary incontinence. Care is planned with pelvic health physiotherapists, radiologists and specialist nurses so that investigations and treatment are joined up and evidence based.

After graduating in medicine, Dr Obloza completed postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynaecology before subspecialty training in urogynaecology. During her time at Liverpool Women’s Hospital, she served as Gynaecology Safety Lead and carried out research into pelvic floor imaging in pregnancy. She was later appointed as a Consultant at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, where she continues to develop pelvic floor services.

She is active in teaching, service development and research. Presentations at national and international meetings and publications on pelvic floor diagnostics and surgical outcomes reflect her commitment to improving standards of care. She is particularly interested in improving understanding of bladder symptoms and prolapse so that women feel able to seek help.

Dr Obloza’s approach is calm, kind and patient centred. She takes time to listen, explain tests and discuss treatment options in clear language. Working in partnership with each woman, she creates a personalised plan that feels safe and well supported. By combining modern surgical techniques with thoughtful care, she helps people move forward with greater comfort and confidence.
