Professor Vinod Menon qualified in 1989 and completed his higher surgical training through the All Wales HST rotation, receiving his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in July 2002. He was appointed as a Consultant General, Upper Gastro-Intestinal, and Laparoscopic Surgeon at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire in September 2002.
Professor Menon served as Clinical Director for General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Urology, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and Gastroenterology at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust for 11 years, from 2008 to 2019. He is also an Honorary Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Warwick.
