Mr Oliver Priest is a highly experienced consultant general surgeon providing private care at Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital in Newcastle-under-Lyme. He also holds an NHS post at Royal Stoke University Hospital, part of the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.
Mr Priest specialises in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for upper gastrointestinal (GI) and general surgical conditions. He offers expert treatment for gallstones, reflux disease, dyspepsia, oesophageal motility disorders, and abdominal wall hernias. His procedures include gallbladder surgery, gastroscopy, open and laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair, and umbilical hernia repair.
After graduating from the University of Manchester in 1996, Mr Priest completed specialist training in London and a surgical oncology fellowship at St Mary’s Hospital under the mentorship of Professor Hanna. He honed his advanced laparoscopic skills at the MATTU, an accredited centre of excellence, mastering techniques such as TEP laparoscopic hernia repair.
