Dr King qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine, London, in 2001 and completed his specialist training at hospitals across the West Midlands, including advanced training at the Queen Elizabeth Liver Unit.
In 2015, Dr King was appointed as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at University Hospitals Birmingham. He is currently based at Birmingham Heartlands and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals. He later became the Training Programme Director for Gastroenterology in the West Midlands and the Training Lead at UHB.
Dr King is a GMC-accredited supervisor and an experienced endoscopic trainer, having been invited to teach on regional endoscopy training courses.
